Warranties, Appliance Recall Checks, & Move-In Assistance
Upon permission from our client, we provide the following extra valued services to give additional peace of mind after the inspection is performed:
- A FREE 90-Day Limited Home Warranty that covers many structural components, appliances, roof leaks, and some mechanical components such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, garage door openers, and sump pumps that can unfortunately fail even after a full home inspection has been performed.
- A recall check of the home’s built-in appliances and some personal appliances which includes a professional report listing any potential manufacture recall and how to have them corrected. Also included is a monthly newsletter listing home maintenance tips and any new appliance recall with a link to add, change, and delete any appliance. This service continues for as long as the client owns the home.
- Move-in assistance. We have a team available to assist in concierge and utility set-up services (if needed) to help ease the stress during the moving process. Once we complete your inspection, your dedicated home assistant will reach out to introduce themselves and help you with everything from scheduling a moving truck, helping you change your home’s locks, and getting a security system installed if desired!

Unequaled Home Inspectors
While NC Home Inspectors are licensed, they are not always equal! Some Inspectors exercise different techniques, procedures, and/or use specialized equipment to help ensure a thorough inspection is performed. Here’s a sample of what our Inspectors do that others may not:
- Walk accessible roofs and enter the entire crawlspace and attic when accessible.
- Inspect/test all accessible windows, doors, receptacles, switches, etc. NC only requires a representative number (1) per room.
- Detect leaking HVAC systems or ductwork using specialized equipment.
- Fill or partially fill tubs, showers, and sinks (rather than just running the water) to detect improper drainage conditions or leaks.
Our Inspectors also do the very best in trying to leave the property the way they saw it upon arrival or in better shape upon leaving. At times, our Inspectors may attempt to fix minor component defects and here are a few reasons why:
- A home inspection can be somewhat stressful and emotional for a buyer, seller, or even a homeowner who wants an inspection for peace of mind. So, we want to help make this process a little easier and smoother for EVERYONE involved.
- It helps produce a cleaner or shorter inspection report.
- It's our intention and goal to have the home in a better condition after the inspection.
- We believe it's just good business and it fulfills our Core Values!
Here’s a sample of what we attempt to fix during a home inspection:
- Unclog bathroom tub plumbing drain lines.
- Tighten loose hardware on various components (receptacles, wall switches, attic pull down stairs, door assemblies, etc.).
- Clean dirty HVAC unit drain pans.
- Fix minor plumbing leaks and tighten loose connections.
- Adjust garage overhead door openers for proper reversing mechanism operation.
- Seal HVAC units having air leakage.
- Remove debris from garbage disposals.
- Replace improper electrical panel cover screws.
